Philmont Ranch Scene
7490-20X28PR $2.75From the Philbrook Collection.
Oscar Berninghaus, Philmont Ranch Scene 1927. Gift of Mr. and Mrs. Waite Phillips, 1944.
In 1927, Waite Phillips commissioned Berninghaus to paint the expansive view of the Phillips family ranch in Cimmarron, New Mexico for their Tulsa home, Philbrook. Later that year, the 13-foot painting was installed in the Villa's ground-level Santa Fe Room, where it remains to this day.
A beautiful reminder of the Philmont Scout Ranch setting.
